Mission Viejo Nadadores Masters are proud to host the
2013 U.S. Masters Open Water National Championships.

Our experienced staff is excited about this event and is very interested in your participating in some way. Allow us to take a few moments to tell you about our swim, who is coming, and how you can play a part.

Around 200 United States Masters Swimming competitors from around the South West region are expected to attend. Over half of those attending will bring a spouse, friend, and/or family. Our Open Water Swim is open to all U.S. Masters Swimmers. 

USMS was founded in 1970 and currently has over 55,000 members with more than 500 local swim clubs located throughout the country. Southern Pacific Masters Swimming (SPMS); our local association encompasses Southern California and parts of Nevada has more than 4,000 members.

Our event begins with check-in beginning at 6:45am and the competition begins at 8:00 am with the younger age groups leaving first. The 2.4 mile (1.2 mile x 2 loop) Swim will be held at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point.
